I'm writing because I have been silent for too long.
I'm writing because The Monster has come back and I am finally ready to acknowledge it.
I'm writing because I am scared, I feel very alone, and I honestly don't know what to do.
For the past two years, I was blessed to have my dream job. As a teacher, this is a hard thing to get when you first start teaching (depending on the area you live in). For me, I got my dream job right off the bat and although it was very hard, stressful, and tiring, I truly loved my job.
This school year, for those of you who have read my last few posts, are aware that I was forced to move to a different school, and change to a different grade level - this was all done without my knowledge and I had no say in the matter. In fact, my contract for the next school year had already been signed when they officially told me what I would be teaching this year.
I tried my best to start this year off with a positive attitude. It is very hard for me to make new friends but I did my best to get to know the new people I would be working with. But after several weeks of being in school, I hate my job.
I hate it so much that my depression has come back...full force. I think it first came back when I initially learned I would be moving to the new school, but over the last several months and especially over the summer, my depression has become much, much worse.
Every morning I sit up in my bed and just cry. I don't want to be alive. I don't want to go to work. My life feels completely pointless. I hate the crazy, ridiculous expectations I'm expected to live up to. I'm working 12-15 hour days to try to finish everything I need to at work and it's still not enough time. The sad thing is, I'm not the only teacher who feels this way at this school.
I haven't seen my T in several weeks. She didn't call me back for a long time - my best friend ended up contacting her. The next day I finally heard from my T. I'm so angry and upset with my T because I'm not getting the support I need. That causes me to feel more depressed and helpless.
I was also in a car accident right before our students started back to school. My car was totaled, and as a result of all the things I have been feeling and experiencing lately, including memories, triggers, depression, etc...I have PTSD from the accident. Because I haven't seen my T, the PTSD has gotten worse and I haven't been able to drive at all without being extremely triggered. I have to switch with one of my alters in order to drive, or someone else has to drive me places. Even being in a car is triggering.
I'm scared because I've been having suicidal thoughts. They are not constant, and when they do pop up I acknowledge them by telling myself that suicide is not the answer and that things will get better....but I need my T to be consistent. I can't keep doing this on my own. I have a couple of really great friends who have been a huge support system, but they can't be there 24/7 and they aren't trained like a therapist/counselor is. I'm worried that things will continue to get worse if my T keeps rescheduling.
My alters have started to go into "hiding" - for me, this means they go into their own rooms or areas and stay there when the outside world and our inside world become too overwhelming that they just need to escape. I have so many alters that are hiding right now that it is becoming very hard for me to function. The way my system works, I have various information stored in several different alters and I am in constant communication with all of them so we can all function and be successful. Right now, our system is struggling because it is taking so much longer to retrieve information.
All I want to do is cry and curl up in a ball and never leave my room... I hate feeling this way :(

Silent Session - Part Three
You can read part one here and part two here.
"Possibly."
My T uses this word when she knows there is a very little chance that she can meet with me, but she feels the need to give me the false sense of hope.
"Possibly."
I read this word and it instantly angers me.
"Possibly."
Any trust that might have been gained during that session and any previous session is now gone. Bye-bye. Good riddance.
"Possibly."
It has turned into me waiting for almost 2 weeks now. And what has happened during those 2 weeks?
I've had a constant stream of memories come up around those events.
I'm remembering more of the people who were involved.
Two of my abusers have confessed to other family members that they did abuse me and that they abused other members in my family, including one of my siblings.
Another one of my sisters is starting to remember being abused.
Other family members are coming forward and telling things that they know - secrets that have been repressed for years, secrets that they can't hide any longer.
One family member went to other family member and apologized to them for not believing me all this time.
The confirmations, the confessions, the affirmations. It's all so real.
My whole life has been me having to keep this huge secret. It has been me having to act like I'm normal, that I'm okay, that everything is fine, that the world is right.
My whole life has been me having to constantly ask myself the question, "did this really happen to me?"
I had tried telling people but no one believed. No one believed me.
And now... after all this time. After being so strong for so long... it's all coming out.
As much as I absolutely hate how hard it has been to remember these things, and to know that I have so much still buried deep within my mind - there is this very tiny bit of comfort, this tiny light at the end of the long tunnel. I was the one who stopped the cycle. I was the one who made people remember. I was the one who spoke up. I was the one who was strong enough to stand up for what was right.
I still have a long and hard road to travel down in my healing process. But this small bit of confirmation that this really did happen to me, that I'm not crazy, that I'm not making it up - that is what will keep me strong.
I was sent here to be the strong one in my family, and I am going to continue to be that person.

Silent Session - Part Two
You can read part one here.
My T and I sat and cried for a while. She would occasionally
hold my hand but that seemed to make her sob even harder. Eventually – I’m not
sure how much time had passed – she told me that she had to get to her next
appointment. She told me that I would be physically exhausted and that I should
go home and sleep the rest of the day. She also told me that I would be drained
emotionally and mentally, and that I would most likely feel very ill later on.
At this point, she was still crying.
I knew I couldn’t drive home – I could barely function. My T
called my best friend to come pick me up. She then told me that she would call
me later that day to check on me.
My best friend stayed with me until dinner time. I didn’t
sleep much, I didn’t eat – I mostly just cried and couldn’t stop thinking about
the memories that had come up. My T called and talked to me very briefly. I don’t
remember what she said.
***Trigger Warning***
Once my friend left, I didn’t feel safe. I buried myself in
the far corner of my room and didn’t move for several hours.
Late that night, I noticed something inside had changed. I suddenly had access to a part of my mind that I must of blocked from myself. A part of my mind that held memories surrounding events around what was brought up during the session.
I immediately started panicking. I barely had time to process through what had just happened during my session earlier that day! There was no way in hell I was ready to start processing through even more memories around those events.
Panic attack after panic attack, continuous sobbing, pleading to whatever God above could hear me - I just wanted to feel safe in my own house.
So many things were starting to make sense; fragmented memories were piecing themselves together. I wanted this and hated it all at once. The entire night I fought against the monsters I had been trying to bury for the last 15-20 years.
The next morning I texted my T to ask if we could meet again that week. I had to be able to talk to someone about all of this. I needed to process through these memories. I needed her support. I needed to feel safe.
Her reply - "I can't this week, possibly next week?"
I stared at the text message.
She had just learned about one of my biggest secrets and she replies with "possibly"? Am I worth anything to her? Does she realize that I spent an entire night of hell by myself, scared to death, an inch away from suicidal thoughts, and she tells me "possibly"?
To be continued...

Silent Session - Part One
I'm not sure where to start... I guess I'll just write.
Last week I went in for a "normal" session with my T - whatever normal is. I hadn't seen her for over 5 weeks so our plan was to just check in with everyone, set goals for the next session, work through some light issues, etc. Instead, the session turned into my T getting this overwhelming feeling that I had something I needed to share with her.
This caught me off-guard. There were several things I had been keeping from her for years - secrets that I didn't want anybody to know, but lately they had been so burdening and scary that I didn't know what to do. I was faced with the fear of "are these memories truth or fiction?"
All I could do was stare at my hands. I didn't say a word - no sounds, no tears. I just sat there.
After some time, she decided we should do some energy work. I was fine with that.
As soon as she started to pull energy off me, I started to feel very dizzy. Typically I don't feel this way and I immediately pointed this out to her. She said she also felt a little different and had me try to ground myself as best I could by placing my hand on her knee. This seemed to help a great deal, surprisingly, and I started to feel better. She, however, began to feel a bit worse.
I then started to feel an overwhelming joy - something I have very little experience with. It was like this moment of freedom. Freedom from all pain, hurt, sorrow, sadness, anger, frustration. My heart seemed to open up and embrace this amazing joyous feeling. That's when I noticed my T was sobbing, uncontrollably.
At first I was confused... I was feeling this incredible feeling of joy and happiness, and here was my T who seemed to be experiencing pain and agony. I didn't understand. All I could do was look at her and wait for her to say something... to say anything.
***Trigger Warning***
The energy coming off of my body was so powerful - nothing like I had ever felt before. I was releasing something huge... something I had held onto for a long time. My T finally spoke, asking me a question that I never thought anyone would ever ask me... "Were you used as a breeder during SRA rituals?"
***End Trigger Warning***
I didn't even have to answer her, because out of no where the tears finally came. The emotions I have locked inside myself for so long, the secrets, the lies, the hiding, the guilt, the shame, everything... it all came out. All I could do was sob for the younger version of me - the part of me who has held onto this secret for so long.
I have never seen my T cry so hard. She kept whispering, "Bee, I am so sorry this happened to you. I'm so sorry you had to go through this..." over and over again.
But the most powerful thing of the whole experience was... I didn't tell her anything.
I believe in a God - I've been struggling with religion my whole life and I currently don't claim to be a part of any specific religion... but in that moment, I don't know how else to explain how she would know something so specific. I have never talked about it. Never. No one in my life knows, except for the people who were involved and I can guarantee they didn't share this information with my T.

Summertime - It's Been a Long Time
It's been a long time. So much has happened.
I moved. I have a second sister engaged. My job was changed three times without my consent. I've had 7 different roommates in the past three months. My health has changed, my family has changed. My life has seemed to spin out of control. Somehow I'm still here, holding on for dear life.
Blogger has also decided to change while I have been away, so it's going to take me some time to get used to things. Since I am on summer break (I love being a teacher!) I will have more time to write. I find myself on Twitter quite a bit now.
My best friend has been incredible. I have never had such an amazing constant in my real life that I could count on and trust so openly. She seems to just know exactly how to help me, even when I'm at a total loss. I am able to do the same for her and it has helped her in so many ways as well.
This post was kind of random, I apologize. I hope to write another very soon and to continually update. I've had computer issues the past few months and that has been my main reason for not being able to post and keep my blog updated. I hope all of you are well. I have been keeping up with your blogs through my phone, so that has been a blessing in my life.
See you soon,
Bee

Pushed to the Breaking Point
I'm so overwhelmed that the switching won't stop.
My vision is constantly blurry.
The pain never goes away - it continues to worsen.
Things at work seem to never get better. More is piled onto my plate. Last minute decisions made by others that effect me greatly. Decisions and outcomes I have to deal with because of my job position/title.
My personal life is a mess because I have to move again. This time of year is very triggering. Memories, flashbacks, etc are surfacing like mad and I'm running like hell to stay afloat. I'm barely breathing.
There is little comfort when I need a huge amount of it.
I feel like I'm going to lose my sanity at any moment, and the fear of that happening is so great that I can't sleep or eat or think clearly. I'm so stressed.
I need the support of my T but who, again, is not there for me in any capacity.
How much longer will I be pushed to the breaking point, without actually breaking?

That Is So F***ing Messed Up...
I need to process through something that happened to me a few months ago because it has not only affected me the last couple of months physically, but also mentally and emotionally.
***Trigger Warning***
A few months ago, I had a very bad allergic reaction to a medication and was taken to the ER in an ambulance.
I had gotten home around dinner time - I didn't see anyone else at home (I lived with two roommates at the time). My doctor had prescribed me a new medication for my migraines and instructed me to try this particular one while I was at work. For whatever reason, I didn't feel comfortable trying it at work so I had made the decision to try it on a day I had a migraine and was at home. It happened to be a weekend day that I got a migraine so I tried the new medication a few minutes after I had arrived home.
My throat instantly closed up, making it very hard for me to breathe. I reached for my cell phone and called my mom. When she answered I barely managed to tell her I was having trouble breathing - she told me to call 911 and that her and my dad would be over right away (they lived about 25-30 minutes away). At this point my lungs had started hurting and I was becoming light-headed and dizzy. My throat was very swollen and I had started coughing. I dialed 911. I again barely got the message across that I had taken a medication that caused me to have a severe reaction. She transferred me to the fire department. By this point I was lying on the floor, almost passed out.
Unknown to me at the time, my mom had called one of my roommates who happened to be home asleep. The phone call woke my roommate - she didn't answer her phone but saw that my mom had called her. She came in my room to see what was up, and saw me lying on the floor.
My memory of the events that follow are a little hazy, but from what I do remember and what was told to me from several different people - the fire department, police, and paramedics showed up at my house. I had stopped breathing at this point. Shot of epi. Nothing happened. Oxygen mask. Put me on a stretcher, loaded me in the ambulance.
At this point, I remember being put in the ambulance and seeing my parents running up to me. I hear my mom say to one of the paramedics, "Are you sure it's bad enough for her to go in the ambulance?"
I remember thinking (at first) "Mom, I can't breathe!" and then I thought, "Maybe I will be okay, I'm just imagining it to be much worse than it is."
The paramedics told my mom it was necessary to take me in the ambulance because I had stopped breathing. I blacked out. Next thing I remember, I'm in the hospital trying to breathe but I couldn't. It felt like someone was holding me down underwater, only I wasn't wet. I blacked out again.
I woke up with the worst stomach pain and head pain I have ever had. It felt like my head was going to explode - like my brain was swelling and pushing against my skull. My stomach was burning and twisting and all I wanted to do was throw up everywhere. I remember saying over and over, "I just want to die, I just want to die..." because I was in so much pain. The pain meds they were giving me at the hospital weren't helping at all.
Eventually I threw up all the contents in my stomach, and then some. The pain meds helped my headache enough to help me calm down. The swelling in my throat was going down, but it was very sore. My chest, lungs and heart hurt. The scare was over and I was stable. The doctors told me that if I ever came into contact with that same medication again, it would kill me. I heard them say that I had stopped breathing for almost an hour, they had given me two epi's that didn't do anything for me, and every counteracting medication they tried had had no affects on me. They said it was a medical miracle I survived.
And yet... I still struggle with that little voice in my mind, repeating over and over again: "Are you sure it's bad enough for her to go in the ambulance?"
How does my mom continue to make me doubt every traumatic memory in my life?
Here I have a memory that is very recent, a memory several people witnessed, a memory documented in hospital records, a memory my roommates and several close friends lived through with me, and yet I still doubt the seriousness of the whole thing. I f***ing almost died and I still question the seriousness of the events that took place. All because of my mother doubting and denying everything that happens in my life.
Why does her life have to be so perfect and normal? Why can't she just accept that bad things happen and let me remember and heal and move on?
Instead, I'm left with one of the most concrete memories I will ever have and I still find myself doubting. That is so f***ing messed up.

November to February: A New Journey Begins
I wrote out a whole detailed blog post of what has been going on but the more I wrote, the more I realized that I really didn't need all the details. So here are the main points...
1. I have found my true best friend (post). She is truly the best thing that has ever happened to me. She has not only accepted me and my alters, and gotten to know me and each of them individually, but has also played a significant part in my healing process these past few months.
2. Back in November, I had two very severe allergic reactions that put me in the hospital. Fast forward to February, I am still trying to recover from both of these reactions.
3. A very good friend of mine's 6 year old daughter passed away at the end of November. That same friend ended up in the hospital a week later and has been there since.
4. My new T has become very flaky and strange things seem to be happening with her. I see her about once every 3-4 weeks and I'm supposed to see her weekly.
5. I still love teaching and I have the best students this year. I have had the amazing opportunity to touch so many lives. These kids really look up to me because they can see that my life is different from most other people (my many allergies and pain is known throughout the school now because of my hospital stay back in Nov). They see that even though I have things going against me and preventing me from doing certain things, I still make the best out of what I can. And that drives me to stay positive for them.
It's good to be back :)

Hello, to the Old and the New!
I have been away from my blog for a few months now, very unexpectedly and unintentionally. I apologize and hope to start writing again much more frequently. I'm so happy to see that I have my same followers still reading and even more followers who have joined while I have been away! Welcome to all of you and I hope you have found at least a little bit of what you were searching for.
I'm currently working on a post to update everyone on what has been going on in my crazy life/world and will be posting it shortly. Thanks again to all of your comments, emails, tweets, messages, texts, etc over the past few months. You guys are amazing and a big part of my healing. I hope I am able to do the same for you too. See you all around :)

Best Friend
My whole life, I've always wanted that person I could call my true "best friend".
You know what I'm talking about - the kind of friend you read about in a book or see in a movie. They are always there 100%, never judging, say encouraging words, hold you when you're sad, celebrates when you're happy, and is just an all-around great person. I've always wanted that... I've wanted to be able to trust another person completely so I could have a friendship that strong, but I guess I've just always assumed I would never have something that great.
I work with a girl (let's call her M) who I met back in the beginning of August. She teaches in the same hallway I do and we ended up working together quite a bit. Over the past month and a half, we have been spending more and more time together because of work - naturally, we started to get to know each other better and started hanging out together more and more outside of work.
Over the past few weeks, we've spent as much time as we can at work together, as much time outside of school together, and texting/talking on the phone the rest of the time. We ended up hanging out one night and pulled an all-nighter and talked for about 14 hours straight. It was one of the best nights of my life because I was able to share with her things I've never told anybody else and she was able to do the same with me.
I was also able to share my DID with her and what really impressed me was the first question she asked me after I told her. She said, "Bee, I would really like to get to know your other personalities if that's okay with you guys?"
No one has ever asked me if they could get to know my alters. I told her heck yes!
